Use of Proceeds
How can I be sure that my money will be used wisely and goes directly to helping fight breast cancer?
Charity for Women is an IRS recognized 501 (c)(3) charitable foundation. Formed in 2002, Charity for Women is a service oriented charity. Its vision toward service instead of research was largely formed by Kelly Jo Dowd who felt that it was important to address immediate life needs for people currently undergoing treatment. Our specific charitable mission is to educate and support women diagnosed with breast cancer.
All workers at Charity for Women are volunteer workers. All infrastructure costs at Charity for Women are supported by NexTrade Holdings, Inc. This allows Charity for Women to use nearly every dollar donated for charitable purposes. In 2006, for example, nearly 98% of donated funds were used for charitable purposes, the remaining two percent went to direct costs of events.
The use of proceeds are identified and distributed in conjunction with our partners below:
- The Morton Plant Mease Foundation
- St. Anthony's Health Care Foundation
- The St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation
